Mathematics
SmartQuad provides a variety of educational classes, and math lessons are in high demand. During the math lesson, students have an opportunity to master skills that range from basic (e.g. addition and subtraction, multiplication, division) to more advanced (e.g. algebraic expressions).
Mathematics is the basis for many professions, and people who are proficient in this subject have a great chance of forging a successful future. At SmartQuad one of our missions is to create a learning environment in which students will become competent users of math and will be able to apply their knowledge in real life in the future. The mathematical Foundation we create will enable our students to continue to grow in this field and acquire further mathematical knowledge if that is what they decide to do with their lives.
The idea for SmartQuad emerged out of the desire to spread mathematical knowledge to children in the United States, and to this day, math remains one of the focus points of our organization. Subliminally everybody understands the importance of being good at math, but let’s have a closer look at why this subject is so important in our lives (especially in the lives of future generations).
First and foremost, a person’s proficiency in math has a tremendous impact on their employment prospects. This is because STEM jobs are the future. According to the recent data, jobs in science, technology, engineering, and math-related fields are growing rapidly, and the salaries of workers in these fields tend to be higher. So any child who has a solid foundation in math can get a further STEM degree and significantly improve their quality of life.
Mentors at SmartQuad help their students tackle specific topics in Algebra and Geometry they might be struggling with. Our students are better prepared to participate in various Math Olympiads and competitions (such as the international Math Kangaroo).
Moreover, mathematical skills are transferable, and learning this subject teaches students how to deal with everyday problems; so even if the math does not become part of their work-life they still need to have some basic math skills. For instance, we all need to know how to perform some mathematical calculations to manage our finances, create a household budget, do our taxes, etc. By joining SmartQuad’s math lessons children will be able to practice their crucial mathematical skills so they stay one step ahead of the competition.
